Information collected when you view the site

When you visit pages on the Land Talk site, the site may collect non-personally-identifying information about your actions. This information may include part of your computer’s IP address, information about your computer and browser configuration, and the times when you view pages.

We use this information to make improvements to the site. We will not share this information except in aggregate.

Information collected through the Submit Conversation form

When you submit a conversation, you provide some personally identifying information. The personally identifying information includes the name of the person submitting the conversation and optionally the name of the observer. The person submitting the conversation also enters their email address. The other form fields may include personally identifying information.

How we use this information

We may use the submitter’s email address to contact the submitter to ask questions or request more information. We will not share email addresses.

Other information entered in the form, including names, will be publicly posted on the site.


Land Talk users submit content, including images, to be displayed on the site. We promptly respond to notifications of copyright infringement. To submit a notification, scroll to the bottom of the conversation page and click on the “If this conversation violates Land Talk submission standards, click here to report it” link. In the report form, describe the infringing content.
